Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • After acceptance, authors are obligated to cover $550 with 20% VAT fee for the publishing of their articles.

Author Guidelines

1. The journal Chemija publishes  articles in the all of field of science. Papers offered for publication should not have been published elsewhere. Papers should be
submitted in English.
2. Articles should be headed by a concise but informative title. This should be followed by the names of authors and by the name and address of the institution where the work was carried
out.
3. The main text of the paper will be divided into Introduction, Experimental, Results and Discussion, Conclusions. The paper should be provided with a list of References and Summary
in Lithuanian (for Lithuanian authors). An Abstract (not exceeding 200 words) and 2–5 key words must be provided at the beginning of each article.
4. Symbols, formulae, equations, indices, similar letters should be set off clearly. Greek and Gothic letters should be underlined in red and named in the margin when first used. SI units should be used, chemical nomenclature should be based on the IUPAC lists.
5. Tables, numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, must be typed on separate sheets and provided with headings that enable them to be comprehensible without reference to the text.
6. The size of figures should be suitable for direct reproduction. For charts, graphs and diagrams MS Word (*.doc), MS Powerpoint (*.ppt) or MS Excel (*.xls) are suitable; photographs can be created using image-editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop (*.tiff) or the open-source alternative GIMP. Lettering should be in 10 point Arial font. Colour figures are preferable (for the Internet version; colour prints should be agreed in advance). For graphs, axis labels should use SI units separated
from quantities with a comma, but not in parentheses. Legends (captions) should be typed in sequence on a separate page or pages and should be understandable without reference to the text.
7. References (only Latin characters) in the text should be indicated by square brackets, for example, [14]. At the end of the paper the number of reference, initials and surnames of (in case
there are more than six, indicate three and add et al.) authors should be followed by: a) for articles in journals – the journal title (in italics) abbreviated as in Chemical Abstracts, volume, number (if any, in parentheses, bold type), first page, year of publication (in parentheses):

c) for books – title, language in parentheses (if needed), edition number and volume (if any), page and/or chapter (if necessary), publishing house, place of publication, year (in parentheses):

d) for proceedings – title of conference, place of publication, year (in parentheses): H. C. Freeman, Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Coordination Chemistry, Toulouse (1980).
e) for dissertation – place of publication, year (in parentheses): A. D. Mount, Ph.D. Thesis, University of London (1977).
f) for internet links – title and internet address in square brackets: BioGRID [http://www.thebiogrid.org].
d) for patents – originator, series designation which may include full date: Philip Morris Inc., European patent application 0021165 A1, 1981.01.07.
e) for standards – standard symbol and number, title: ISO/TR 9544: 1988, Information processing – Computer assisted publishing – Vocabulary.
The title, names, etc. written in Russian and other characters should be transcribed as in Chemical Abstracts.
8. Summary in Lithuanian must be typed on a separate sheet with the names of authors and the title.
9. Authors should submit the electronic version of their manuscripts (MS Word, Times New Roman 12-point) to: chemijavilnius@yahoo.com. Article Processing Fee

Concerning the article processing fee, we offer two distinct methods. The standard method typically requires 12 to 25 days for assessment and publication. Alternatively, our fast-track method expedites the process, taking only 1 to 3 days for both reviewing and publishing. The associated cost for the fast-track method will be promptly communicated to you via email (academicapublication@gmail.com).
